"As Long As It Takes" is a complementary piece to "The Thing." "The Thing" was designed with no rules for how to stop the process. The conditions that end "As Long As It Takes" are built into the rules. Dice randomly determine the combinations of red, blue, and green knitted on each row. The piece will be complete when all 27 combinations of those colors are represented. When finished, the distance from start to finish will literally be "as long as it takes." What's the difference between complete and finished?
